EMERGENCY SUCTION ENTRAPMENT RELEASE PROCEDURE
1A. Supply fresh breathing air to the victim by whatever means are
necessary or available, mouth to mouth, upside down 5 gallon bucket,
snorkel, whatever need be done.
1B. SHUT OFF ALL PUMPS IMMEDIATELY!!!
(focus on #2: The most effective act: break
the vacuum in the system, in some cases, shutting off the pump will
not release the child !!!)
2. BREAK SYSTEM VACUUM, OPEN PUMP
LIDS!!! In some cases, shutting off the pump
will not release the child !!!
3.
IF YOU CANNOT OPEN PUMP LID(S)...HIT and
BREAK THE PIPES GOING INTO THE FRONT OF THE PUMP(S) WITH; HAMMER,
AX, SHOVEL, METAL PIPE, ROCK....BREAK THE PIPE... BREAK the VACUUM!!!
4. IF ABOVE IS NOT EFFECTIVE; LUBRICATE THE DIGIT, OR LIMB WITH A COATING
OF PETROLEUM/SILICONE BASED JELLY OR COMMON "BUTTER", SUN TAN LOTION OR
ANY AVAILABLE LUBRICANT.
THE MAIN OBJECTIVE IS TO "BREAK THE
VACUUM IN THE PIPES/RELEASE THE CHILD"!!! SHUTTING OFF
THE PUMP MAY NOT RELEASE THE CHILD !!
!!URGENT!!...BREAK
THE VACUUM IN THE PIPES: RELEASE THE CHILD" in some cases,
shutting off the pump will not release the child!!!
NOTE: Please carry a
small charged scuba tank with regulator on the truck for such occasions.
