Installation Tools Required:
Phillips head screw driver. Awl. Cordless Drill. 1/16" drill bit. |

1. Be certain pool pump motor is off and
secured |
|
2. Remove old drain cover |
3. Inspect existing pool sump for
damaged screw inserts or debris in the openings.
Replace Mud ring if necessary (attach new mud ring securely to the
sump).
Clean all debris from screw inserts openings. |

4. Insure mud ring (if applicable) is
attached to the existing sump securely. |
5. NOTE: It is imperative the Star 100
Anti-Entrapment Cover is securely
attached to the existing main drain sump. Prior to using any aquatic
facility, inspection
of fasteners and observation for damaged/tampered with suction fittings is
required. |

6. Do not exceed safe flow rate by
increasing pump horsepower. Follow manufacturer’s recommendations. |
7. Install using supplied Stainless Steel
screws and washers or obtain 316 Grade Stainless
Steel screws from a pool supply outlet. |

8. NOTE: Only use 316 Grade SIS
or equivalent in installing the Star 100. |
|
9. The Star 100 can be installed in all
Pools in a horizontal or vertical Plain. |
10. If the sump you are attaching to has
only two existing screw holes, drill two new screw
holes and install supplied screws through open slots. |
NOTE: Do not over tighten screws. This
may damage the Star 100 or cause the cover to sit
on the pool drain sump in a warped manner. The Star 100 is to be mounted
in a “flush fit".
Insuring no gaps at outer edges. Keep these instructions for future
reference. |
